Last but not least, this is the angle from the side of the Golden Pavilion. That morning, a crane was roaming round the pond. When I was taking this picture, the crane was just standing on a rock next to a pine tree, picture perfect.

Your composition is great here placing the structure to one side while including the reflecting pond. The bushes in the foreground provide nice natural framing for the scene. The lighting is great yielding nice color and detail. Thanks for this great postcard from Japan.

Hello Tiffany,
When I visited the Golden Pavillion there was also a crane and I have pictures of it but I don't have the bird and the temple together on the image. It's certainly an extro bonus on this picture, together with the beautiful autumn colours.
Weren't there a lot of visitors ? When I was there perhaps a hundred or more ...

It is always a pleasure to see a place I've seen before. I remember the Golden Temple in Kyoto well, and you've presented the edifice from a very good vantage point. I was there on a late spring day when a rain was coming down, and it was just as beautiful and memorable as your photo is. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane,
