De Gooi en Vechtstreek is a region on the border of the Dutch provinces Noord-Holland and Utrecht, consisting of the area het Gooi, characterised by some gentle hills, woods and heath and a number of smaller towns, and de Vechtstreek, located along the river Vecht, known for its stately homes, lakes and lowlands. I have lived in the town of Bussum, which brands itself as the “Heart of het Gooi”, since 2014 and found that the area offers many photo opportunities.
