One of the oldest and most interesting dirt/flea markets in Beijing, China is called the "Ghost Market" or antique market (Panjiayuan). The name comes from the idea that original owners of the items being sold are now "long past", and thus are now - ghosts. This type of place is slowly being lost or replaced as China continues to modernize. Soon this market will disappear along with many similar places of interest unique to China.
