I turned the phot in to B&W by using the chanell mixer in Photo shop CS. I then burned the dark areas of teh water a bit to enhance the contrast. I shaprened it with USM and added a small amount of Difuse glow. Removed the glow on the white parts of the water closest to the buttom edge of the photo. Wanted to imitate Answel Adams a bit there...but i am still far from it hehe

As i sad in my comment...i switched the bakground to a picture i had in my archives. I treid to find an apripriate one in your gallery but couldn't see any that would work so you will have to make due with mine ;-) A used the sky picture as my background and added your picture as a new layer. After that i added a layer mask to your image and removed all part form yourmodell. I did this very quickly so don't look at the edges. Since the sky in your background is so blown out though, other post processing work to fix it will be very very difficult. But i must say, i do really like it just the way it is :-)

First i did the setings descrobed in the previous WS and then i added a new Hue/saturation layer. Ticked colorize and set Hue to 23 and saturation to 12.

That was it ;)

Finally, here comes the WS...since e-mail doesn't seem to work ;)

This is what i did:

Levels: Red chanell 0:1:240, Blue chanell 0:0,95:255
Brightness & contrast: contrast +10
Hue/Saturation: Master-lightness +5 , Reds- lightness 4 , Yellows-Hue -3 saturation +5

My version of a mothers love. I just love the way her eys are closed and how she smiles...Thought i'd shgare it wiht you. After all...you seem to be quit a sensative guy, but of course, i allready knew that ;)

First i ran it in auto levels and auto colours. After that i made it a bit lighter using curves (I was curious as to what the curched looked like :)) I brought out some more colour by saturating the red, yellow and blue chanell. Sharpened with an sharp mask, ran it in Neat Image using presets for retaining natrual image look. Finaly re-sized and framed it.

First i did some colour "correction" by adding more yellow and red to the midle tones. To makes sure it wasen't all red/yellow i added some blue and cyan to the shadows.

I wanted the sea to glitter like gold (I'm a romatic, what can i say ;)) so i copied the layer and set the blend mode to multiply (Opacity was 50%). Then the sky became to dark so i copied the background layer again, set the blend mode to lighten and used 50% opacity. To get a more even ligt over the whole picture a finally adjuted it with curves. Re-sized and framed.

I like the origional but since you mentioned the colurs i though i'd give it a go :)Hope you like it.

Cropped away teh uppper right corne and a bit on teh right side to keep the proportions. Adjusted teh light in cruves, jut a litle bit adn then increased the saturation on teh yellow and green chanell.

First i added a contras mask to bring out some more details in the over exposed areas. After this i added a layer mask of the darkera areas of the feather becuase i didnt want those parts to be darker. Then i added an unsharp mask tot he whole picture to try and get even more detals out of it. Finnaly i cropped it to have the feater a bit off center.

I copied everything to a new layer with the blend mode Mutliply and opacity set to 25%. This was to increase the colours a bit. I then added an unsharp mask to the background layer. 300%, 0.5, 0.
