Intro: I live in Tampere, Finland and have got a digital camera of my own (Nikon E8800) from May, 2006. I still have it and it has been great value for money since I bought it cheap just when the last ones were on sale. It has some drawbacks (LCD viewfinder, slow autofocus and zoom, cumbersome manual focus), but once you learn to live with them, it gives you some SLR-like features (external flash shoe, remote control, full metal body) in reasonable size.

I take pictures every time I see something interesting. Especially landscapes, animals or anything stationary. Moving objects and people are too difficult for me still. I do not seem to realize instantly when I have taken a decent picture, that is why I take as many as I can - and decide later which are worth saving (if any).

I do not have means to travel a lot, therefore the majority of the pictures has been taken in western Finland. Feel free to critisize, I might learn something valuable.
