Hi Dave,

Your original is so great that I did only minor changes. Following things were done in PS:
- Selected sky with Magic Wand tool and blurred it with Surface Blur option
- Added a bit of saturation and darkness to midtones in Variations
- Added black frame
Biggest difference is in the silk smooth sky. I hope you like it.

Hi there,

I also did a small workshop for you. I'll hope to do a critique later, I'm short in time now.
I've rotated the photo 1,79 degrees to the right (clockwise) to get the tower straigth.
I made a panoramic crop, (1) just because I like it for this photo (2) to remove the blurred roof or whatever it was, because it was a disturbing foreground.
I also selected some area's with the magic wand tool and applied Filter -> Noise -> Despeckle on them.
Mainly the even coloured area's on the church, and the vulcanicisland in the caldera are affected.

As last thing I reduced the highlights for this photo, making (ofcourse) the highlights darker..and opened the shadows just a bit to gain some brightness again on the shadow portions.
Added +4 midtone contrast.
All done in photoshop.

Saved for web, maximum quality.

I just dropped the gamma a very small amount, increased resolution, adjusted contrast, sharpened and this is it. Hope you don't mind. Just wanted to see what it would do.
