Photographer's Note
While the sights are definitely worth it, the is a negative side to going on safari.
For those of us who are used to the overall smoothness of the slabs of tarmac and concrete that make up most western roads, dirt tracks come as quite a shock.
On the safari I enjoyed, the initial journey from Mombasa to the Voyager Camp situated in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro took the better part of seven hours.
Given that two thirds of that trip was on roads like this one, you can imagine how glad I was to be there!

Hi Richard,
The composition on this works but you were let down by less-than-inspiring light and sky. The red dirt road sure gives a sense of depth but it needed a more interesting sky in the distant plane. Even with a better sky I think that including more of the tree on the top left might have strengthened the overall image. From this image it is obvious that you are considerate about your arrangement of items in the viewfinder. Looking forward to seeing more.
Cheers!
Bob G.
