children in china's rural area are often withdrawing from school in early age or never attend to help their family, most of them follow in their father's footsteps to be a farmer. I've been to couple of schools in yuanyang,the teachers over there normally are underpaid(USD 30/ month), lots of them are not willing to work there and seeking lucrative job in urban area or town. Moreover, as the volunteer told us, the teachers in the school are not qualified to teach.
Although exponential growth of china in recent years, there's still much to do to narrow down the wealth distribution in china ...
I can not imagine what the future of the kid would be.
