Photographer's Note
A favorite place of mine, on the southwestern side of a Vitosha, seems like Lord of the Ring scene...These huge rounded granite stones could be found all over the mountain and are unique natural phenomenon, called 'moreni'. They were formed by rock evaporation.

I can see why it's a favorite area of yours. The moss covered stones and trees does create an errie forest. Well done Rodney

Hello Silvia
Good composition with many different and interesting shapes. The soft light means there is no problem with shadows, and the moss gives a wonderful green glow to the landscape.
Very Beautiful.
Best wishes Maggie

Bonjour Silvia,
cette capture est techniquement très au point; je ne réussis pas souvent les photos en sous bois.
Le POV de bas est astucieusement choisi, les lumières bien maitrisées et les couleurs naturelles, que dire de plus !!
Regards.
Daniel.

Hi Silvia,
Yes, your photo is very reminiscent of a Lord of The Rings. I like the tree emerging from the rocks. It's animated form seems alive. Great earthy colors and details.

Zdravo Silvia. Wonderful, enchanting place where one can let one's imagination play.Looks primordial to me.Nicely composed with the tree spanning the scene. Lovely light, making the place inviting rather than threatening. Pozdrav. Klaudio.

indeed that LOTR-feeling! Must be really old rocks. The moshes on them m ake them even more round and 'soft'. Very nice perspective and great sharpness and color.

A beautiful photograph.Have you used Shadow/highlight or HDR editing. I would have preferred a bit more contrast. Just my opinion.

Zdravo Silvia,
Well done, Mademoiselle, well done... Great compo and POV, a lovely place. I really feel myself there - and I really should have tried an anaglyphe photo of this scene, because it's absolutely perfect for reaching the 3D effect. From my personal thoughts back to the photo: very nice, as said, I like it. But I found one of the workshops useful, because of the - very little bit - too warm colours of the original. Next time, if You want, try to set white balance to sunny - even if You're in shadows. I know it sounds strange, but worked for me for this kind of in-forest photos.
Tfs this great view of southwestern side of Vitosha, ciao László

The 'moreni' is a common phenomenon in Greek mountains, too. I like it very much as well as walking in an environment with those characteristics. There was a need of using a tripod according to the exposure time and you did it. Very well done!
Best wishes,
Athanasios.

An enchanted place truly, I like the soft atmosphere and light, the reddish tones on the granite, your composition is very nice mixing them with the fine branches, the one crossing the image is a real plus, I have also learned from the ws and a few remarks here.
Very nice
Cheers

Great texture and contrast for a dull day. They red and green contrast eachother very well! The balance between background verticals, the diagonal and circles in the foreground is superb. The only thing is maybe you could tone down the highlights in the rock on the right.

I love the color combination of orange and yellow leaves and green moss. The composition is really nice with the rocks in the foreground and the bent tree leading us threw the upper part of the frame. Nice work.

Wow! The picture is fantastic. I wonder what a picture in this place would look like in the early morning or late afternoon. Nevertheless in the absence of much sunlight, you can admire the texture of the leaves and the moss growing on the rocks and tree. Really, a very very nice photo!
