Another exterior detail from the Duomo (cathedral) in Milano. This is a fancy staircase that ascends to the top of the roof (maybe the belfry?). These details are just so rich, but take a few steps back, like from the front of the duomo, and you'd never appreciate them. Interestingly, the interior is a bit plain, but I wonder if that is the part that Napoleon was responsible for finishing. [Anyway, that's the way us ancestral Italians would attribute it.]
