Photographer's Note
Taken in a rural area in Cambodia.
She never smiles,
Though sometimes she smiles, but it lasts for only a few second.
She is beautiful, but she lives in a poor family
Education to her is less priority...
Her mom is in debt,
Her grandma is waiting the death because of poverty she lives in...
How can this little girl smiles...

Hello Sothy. Your photo is outstanding, - likewise the composition. The serious face expression of the girl with the large sad eyes is impressing. And then this direct and intensive view into the camera. It is a photo that one does not forget so fast. It speaks also without text for itself. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hi Sothy,
Très joli portrait, un regard plein de maturité malgré son jeune âge. Les dures épreuves de la vie lui volent le sourire et l'innocence de l'enfance ...

Hi Sothy,
After having read your note, it appears quite futile to to me to moreover comment on your photograph (excellent) but the emotion overrides the remainder.
I hope that this child will find joy in the future, while waiting it undergoes the life of the adults.
Regards & good WE

A very melancholic image accentuated by the sepiatones. i dotn normally like these kinda notes playing on the poverty, but his image isnt different, her face holds natural beauty and you captured it splendidly.
I would give yu extra greenies if I could for the image but not for the note.

Hi Sothy
She is beautiful, even with that sad look in her eyes... but a well composed and framed image with the subject well isolated by a narrow DOF... Sepia conversion adds atmosphere...
Cheers

Hi Sothy,
This is very sad to know about her, really really saf it is. This is pathetic..
Coming to the composition, this is a great portrait in b/w with an adjusting colour temperature! The expression in her face says it all. The depth is awesome. So is the light. Beautiful work.

This is a wonderful portrait! You captured the emotion of this young girl so well.
I like your composition and how you managed the depth of field. The inclusion of bamboo on the right side is perfect for the composition.
