Photographer's Note
Hah! Caught this extremely bored-looking boy at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York City. Behind him are Monet's famous waterlilies...probably the most crowded exhibit that day. This boy seemed oblivious of the people and the art around him, and I think the effect here is humorous and ironic, though the quality isn't fabulous.

Good shot - it's a nice piece of observation, he seems totally fed up with it all! I like the motion blur here too.

Hello Elizabeth,
I like the subject here, and the way the boy is facing away from the painting. It is a good capture. For me, a slightly different crop is more effective, so I made a workshop for you. I hope you like it. :-)

Lol indeed...is that possible, bored in MOMA?! You caught a moment here, Elizabeth, and I like the composition, 3 against 1...well done!

Hello Elisabeth,

Amicalement, Grazyna.

Hi, Elizabeth,
I liked this shot as soon as I opened it. It is such a good capture of a typical kid. I like the blur around him in this, it's perfect for the mood on his face. Really nice shot!! Regards,

You've obviously got a good eye for a shot Elizabeth. I probably like this shot the best from your gallery. What kind of camera/lens are you using? There seems to be a lot of curvature at the top of the frame usng this focal length. Apart from that, good work.

Hello Elizabeth, I can see why this guy is not interested in the artwork - it's not my cup of tea either. Nevertheless it does make a pleasant backdrop to your far more interesting study into human reactions.

Hello Elizabeth
A nicely caught moment - with a very expensive back-cloth! I think I would certainly crop the sides, but I have got a soft spot for square format pics.
Best Wishes Maggie

This shot is great on so many levels. The bored teenager, the motion, the art,the others looking to the side. You did a wonderful job of seeing a potentially great photo and pushing the shutter.

maybe not perfect but it's really cool! I'd tighten this composition to remove sth (grey strip) on the top and side objects - let us focus on this boy.. I think the photo is also a bit tilted to the left (difficult to judge); if you do not mind, I'll try to do a WS - tfs, Tom
30 Aug. 2007 - I came back to the same photo and produced the "altered image #3" which is better than my previous WS... pls. have a look
:)

Hello Elizabeth,
Difficile de cacher l'ennui... ce jeune n'avait sûrement pas choisi d'être là! La photo me plaît par son côté "bougé" qui contraste bien avec l'immobilisme de la peinture. bravo
