Photographer's Note
Kamondo Merdivenleri İstanbul'un Galata semtindeki Voyvoda Caddesi'yle ile Banker Sokağı'nı birleştiren barok üslûplu merdivenlerdir. 1850'li yıllarda yapılan merdivenler bölgenin en önemli banker ailelerinden biri olan Kamondo Ailesinden Avram Kamondo adı yaptırılmıştır. O zamanlar Banker Sokağı da Rue Kamondo (Kamondo caddesi) olarak bilinmekteydi.

Great B&W shot! The pOV is fantastic, it gives such a graphical aspect to the picture...the person who is walking up the stairs adds a lot (the human touch). Really a wonderful one, I like the sepia tones of this B&W too...

Recep, muhtesem olmus. Bu merdivenin gordugum en iyi fotografini Bresson cekmisti. Ben defalarca cekmeme ragmen dogru durust bir sey cikaramadim. Bresson'dan sonra benim gordugum en iyisi bu.

O merdivenleri bu şekilde kadrajlamış olman çok iyi fikir olmuş benim çektiğim buna benzer bir kare var ama merdiven boş olunca kompozisyon eksik kalıyor.
