Travels on the Silk Road:
This is Abgusht, a delicious stew of potatos, tomatoes, and mutton. It simmers for many hours on a hot plate before it is mashed with a pistill by the person who ordered it. The picture is taken in Sara'eyn, Ardebil Province, but you find Abgusht elsewhere in the country. It is appreciated by travellers and pilgrims.
The slide has been scanned and the pic cropped. Rafid76 (Robert Akrawi) remarked the lack of sharpness. I therefore re-posted the pic after sharpening it in Photoshop. Enjoy!

Hey,
Yummy ... I have left Iran 5 months ago and I miss Abgusht so much ;-) I should add that Abgusht is the most traditional food in Iran ...
