Photographer's Note
Compare to the natural scene, i have more interested on the people in recent days. Because they are unique, expecially the people who are living very far from the city. Their thoughts and their life are quite different to us.
This is a family which living in a samll village, the man is a farmer, but he was not in the house when we arrived. The bottle between us (you can see the white smoke) is Milk-tea, the traditional Tibetan drinking, near by is Tibetan Yak milk. I drank 2 bowls of Yak milk and 1 bowl of milk tea, it's really very fresh and good, i like it.^_^

Very interesting effect with the smoke and how it creates a halo through which even the background looks different. Black framing is very effective for this low key picture. I would have cropped out the overexposed lid in the foreground, though.

Very nice atmospher in this picture. But, i really think the frame is too heavy. A small white line between the black and the pict would be good to be able to see the picture better.

I think this is a very interesting photo. I like the way the mother and baby are in the light while the rest of the scene (except the lid as the first commenter has noted) is dark. The baby has a bit of a funny expression. Thanks for the informative note too.

Hi Catherine. Capturing the mother and child in the steam of the milk tea is beautiful. I agree with Clod about the frame, but it is not a big problem for me. I love the dog sitting nearby. Very peaceful.

This is a touching mother-child picture. A little low on details but great atmospherics! The frame is too thick as pointed out earlier by Claude. But a picture well worth sharing. Thanks.

Mystic. That smoke is a stairway to heaven. The colours and contrasts(with the help of the black frame) are great..so it the composition. Ohh...and great expression on the child..
