Bananas and coconuts market... that's what they call it in Yangon. You'll never guess what they trade in there :) ...

The beauty of photography is that one may be convinced of a story that never happened. Despite what you see, the foreground guy is the receiver while the other one who looks like he's going to be in trouble in a second is in fact the coconut pitcher. Got you, eh?

Quite weirdly, Burmese do not enjoy coconut food as much as their Thai neighbors, that's why I didn't put it in the food category : some burmese people even claim that coconut milk is not good for your health (Do you read me Ye? private joke ;) ...).

On the other hand coconuts are favorite offerings in festivals and ceremonies : it will then be critical that their tail is hand woven and kept in good condition... a coconut without its tail isn't worth anything and certainly not suited for offering...

I can't help wonder which part they actually offer : the nut or the tail...
