Photographer's Note
.
This is the tiny village that bears the name of the island where it locates: Long Son Island, off Vung Tau town. Finally they built a bridge after so many years. But its population take time to catch up the industrial and developed way of living. Due to the lack of connection to mainland in so many years, this isolated and remote island still maintain the old tradition as this photo shows a kitchen where the old woman has to use natural light while sifting rice or for her other daily activities.
I took this picture while the lady was trying to pick up rice from the husks by hand, to prepare the dinner for her family.

Amazing photograph. I don't know what to say about it. The colors in this picture are great. The smoke and the "Rays of God" blend together and they create a piece of great art. The subject of the picture is interesting. It actually shows an aspect of the daily life of another culture.
This is almost like something I would see in National Geographic. Excellent job.

Atmosphere - that is what this photo has!
I think the composition is excellent - there's a lovely symmetry and balance between the baskets at the top and the table at the bottom. There is a lot of 'air' andd space in the photo, lending it a calm.
A great advert for tripods and using existing light. I don't think it would have been possible handheld at such a shutter speed. Great techniquie all round - and soul!

You are a good photogrpaher. I can only suggest that you try to produce your own postcards. Maybe a book if you can find a publisher.

I do not know what to say, this is a suerb picture. It is like apainting! The light streaming down from the top and the glow on the woman's face is just incredible. It is like the painting of Vermeer.

this picture is beautiful,
and for me mostly cause of the atmosphere that you menage to caught...using the light and womans face...
diagonal that light assumes is making this picture in it's calm atmosphere also dynamic and giving it a bit of baroque feeling if you know what I mean...
anyway really great shot.

Excellent, it reminds me of a Vermeer painting, and that is about as high a praise a I can think of.
The reflected light in her face, the diagonal ray of light in the steam, the row of baskets at the top, the soft bluish and golden tones, the simple and beautiful utensils, it's all great.

The colours, light and detail are magnificent. The frame too goes well with the pic. The way the light is going through the billowing smoke and illuminating is fantastic. Very intense photo: how the woman is concentrating on her work and the atmosphere around.. I'm lost for words. tfs :)

That is so beautiful, looks like a painting. I really love the different spots of brightness in the picture, in the small triangular mirrors on the wall, the woman's face and the sun reflected in the basket the woman is holding. Especially nice that these three spots are arranged in a diagonal, and parallel to the sunbeams coming in through the roof. Fantastic work, like all your other pictures!
