Photographer's Note
Another man that stands motionless forever,
this was quite strange,
I was unable to appreciate even a blink in the eyes, was total motionless,
strange face, almost dark red painted,
his face was difficul to appreciate,
seemed more an artificial being that a real person. They know very well how to disguise and paint themselves.
Tech: Process very similar to Ramblas II.

So this was a street performer? A very striking photo, I couldn't quite tell was it a man or a statue.

A strong dynamism in the stance of the body and head at nearly diagonal, with the contrast of the nearly white sky works well.

I like it! And I agree with Callie about the contradictory feelings it gives. Dynamisme of a motionless figure...
Good light, well framed, very good work!

Great shot : a very good angle and frame, a right exposure with a good resolution of the dark parts. Difficult to get both brown and black colors in such conditions of light. Great work.

Very good exposition and framing as the artist (he really is) comes out perfectly in terms of light, colors and position in the frame. Very original and strong subject? The dull sky helps the whole feeling too. Really well done!

A very powerful shot David you got here. A good choise of exposure, you managed to keep the sky from becoming washed out. You also took great advantage of the light conditions, taken the details of your subject in consideration... 6 out 5! :-)

Just experimented a little with Contrast Masking, if you allow a WS I would like to show you the result of this experimenting with your picture :-) No need to say that it is already a beautiful photograph...

Well done, on top of what the others said I also like the color of the sky, it completes well this shot. If it had been a blue sky the contrast would not have been so artistic.

Really nice. The duality ligthning/shadows makes this picture very striking. Well done.

Your previous post of the same subject is still one of my favorites. This one is also very, very good. Great compostion, with just the right amount of detail in the man's face. Great contrast!

Very beautiful, subtle light, a new and interesting perspective on a human statue.

David, I have enjoyed your whole Ramblas them, this one is my most favourite of the.
First of I thouhgt this was a sculpture, think this is the impression artist wanted to give. I also sense he wants to confuse us, and so I am. So from now on this for me isn't about a person, it's about a symbol. I see a symbol of wild wild west (not Spain - confusion again), the stone like lack of expression, the hat, leather coat, I imagine he had a cold on his waist (don't tell me if he didn't, let's keep the mistery alive).
Your composition is fantastic, keeping parts of his head, especially his eye invisible to us is magical and keeps us wondering, very good and moody postprocesing.

Greetings David,
very nicely seen. good clarity and the POV is great.
It is an art by itself - remaining motionless.
And these are experienced artistes I should say.
Very nicely done - Vikram
