Bonjour Pierre,
This morning there was an interesting article about Pompeii in my newspaper.
It states that the city was probably destroyed on August 24, 79. One could determine this date with leftover fish sauce.
Science stands for nothing nowadays.

Pierre, some parts of the ruins stayed undamaged by the time, the erosion. The stone wall on the right has been restored. The ruins are like a labyrinth. Good depth, neat image.

I always enjoy these rustic scenes from Pompei, the more the better. its fun to try and imagine how it looked back in its prime years. the diffused lighting works well here, and the stone on the ground has a nice blue tinge. good one. cheers
