Salut Nicolas,
Bonne photo au sujet de ce terrible incendie, avec l'eau de la Seine qui a permis de maîtriser l'étendue de l'incendie et la vue de cette fameuse flèche qui s'est effondrée, bon effet de perspective.

Now we look at our pictures of Notre dame differently. We have memories of the place, we want to share them with the others. Interesting point of view.

Bonjour Nicolas, an interesting point of view taken from the river, which has reminded me that I too probably have one taken from the river. I will have to check.
People have pledged a lot of money to ensure that the cathedral will be restored, so we will wait in anticipation.
Thanks for sharing this lovely shot.
Regards Jean.

Bonjour Nicolas,
We are all in shock at what happened to Notre Dame, a cathedral recognised throughout the world for its magnificent appearance!
Thank you for this calm and tranquil reminder of its beauty.
It is heartwarming at the offers of help, that have already been received, to pay for its restoration, which I am sure will be a great success.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Nicolas,

Salut Nicolas
So sad that this view no longer exists. Let's hope it is back up again in 5 years time. An unusual inclusion of the end of the island. It was getting dark when I was there so I didn't explore much in the night. Tfs!

Bonjour Nicolas,
Cela valait la peine de fouiller dans tes archives pour nous offrir la cathédrale dans toute sa splendeur et sa beauté mais d'un point de vue un petit peu différent.
Amicalement

Bonsoir Nicolas,
maybe not the best capture, but all documents of what has been lost are necessary and welcome, lest we forget.
No points today as this is a case of mourning.

Bonjour Nicolas,
one more and very different perspective on the cathedral.
It feels as if taken from a boat ride.
On my last trip I made a boat trip as well.
It feels like a cold rainy day here. Sad mood which well goes with the situation.
Great way to pay a tribute to this magnificent structure.
Very original point of view,
M

Bonjour Nicolas,
A great photo of Notre-Dame. You found a great viewpoint, which included the banks of the Seine and the tip of Île-de-la-Cité very well too. The colours are well saturated, despite the cloudy sky.

Bonjour Nicolas,
A disastrous fire that severely damaged one of the icons of our civilization.
Yet this is also the fate that has happened to many of these buildings over the centuries. Fortunately, there is often sufficient recognition of our cultural heritage and many buildings are restored in the past.
We do not realize today that usually the building was not exactly rebuilt as the original. Monuments from hundreds of years old have always been changed or expanded with elements from the time of the renovation.
The spire of the Notre Dame that we saw so sadly falling over in fire was an 19th century addition to Notre Dame.
That is why I welcome the call to design a new spire. I am very curious what the result will be.
Fortunately there is more than enough money for the rebuilding.
I wish you a Happy Easter, groet Rob

Nicolas, original picture taken from the Seiner river quay. It shows Notre dame cathedral from a rare angle. The damage caused by the fire are costly, the cathedral renovation will take time

Bonjour Nicou,
Une vue classique de notre joyau national situé à l’extrémité de l’Ile de la Cité. Il faudra attendre plusieurs années avant de photographier une telle vue.
Merci du partage.

Hello Nicolas,
Yes, it was sad to learn that one of the icons of European civilization succumbed to flames.
