Hello John,
I like the soft light shining on the nearest roofs and gables and the texture of the bricks which you have captured so well with the excellent sharpness. The entire row of buildings along the canal is elegant and it is shown from a good angle and with a very nice exposure.

Hallo John,
Ik denk dat ik al eens een foto getoond van die brug maar met een zicht in de omgekeerde richting.
Mooi licht op de daken en op het groen tegen de gevels. Ik vermoed het licht van de late namiddag.
Het is een heel rustige foto genomen weg van de grote drukte van Brugge.
Mooi sfeervol.

The point of view is showing the details of the bridge and of the houses. The light has a good effect on the colours.

Hello John,
The composition is excellent. The light was ideal to bring out the colours and details in the beautiful façades lining the capital. I like very much the overall lighting and colour palette. Excellent sharpness.

Avec ce pont de pierre en fond quelle vue et ces façades de maisons superbe ce rayon qui longe le mur de pierre et le bord de l'eau quel effet ces couleurs sur les façade du lierre qui les tapissent fantastique

Another great canal capture showing this exquisite light play on an early morning and range of diff tones, where the old stone bridge makes a sound base. Vivid detail of the architecture is another strong point to attract the eyes turning this shot easy on the eyes!!. Well done

A peaceful and relaxing scene that would not look out of place in Venice except for the noticeable lack of crowds! The bridge across the canal provides a good focal point. Tfs!

Dit winterlicht is schitterend en geeft een mooie warm gloed aan de gevels langs de gracht op deze ongetwijfeld koude winterdag. De compositie is uitstekend, het water loopt mooi dwars door de foto heen en gidst ons langs de oude huizen.

I think you must have such a mass of attractive photographs that you haven't had a chance to post them! This is one such photograph from your archives!
The viewpoint is well chosen to include the canal, the walkway and the sideline of buildings, all guiding us effectively towards the focal bridge.
The low sunlight, striking the upper parts of the buildings and shafting across the canal, adds a wonderful ambience.
Can we ever tire of seeing Bruges!!

Hi John,
beautiful composition from Bruges.
The light was challenging with some shade but with the perfectly balanced exposition you have turned it to your advantage. The final effect is brilliant. We see some light touches of the sun on the old architecture.
Great framing, I like also the presence of the two bikes along the channel promenade.

Hallo John, this district in Bruges is crossed by a small river. I like the old bridge in the bg. The old houses on the right are bathed by a golden light. Fine colors, good sharpness, instructive photo note, regards.
