Photographer's Note

This breakfast food is called Idiyappam. It's a very famous breakfast item in Sri Lanka as well.
In our country, in southern provinces, this breakfast is very popular, taken with aloo-masala or egg-masala, spicy potato or with little dry-egg curry respectively.

Around 1st century AD, this food came in to the picture. In Tamil Nadu, Kerala and in Karnataka and in COASTAL AREAS of Mangalore and Udupi, since then, this has remain very popular. People love to eat this item in their breakfast time. So when I had a chance to visit these parts of Southern provinces, I too tried this item on couple of times, and found interestingly tasty.

In Malaysia also this is very popular. In Malaysia, this is called Putumayam.
This item is made of Rice Flour, salt and water.
