Photographer's Note
The Juemu study Buddhism in the secluded area had a box, which was just big enough to sit in. Those who could not afford a box dug a hole to sit in. The boxes were nearly 1.2 meters high, one meter long and one meter wide. The boxes were made of cardboard, wood bars and red cloth. It could only provide basic shealter from the snow during autumn and winter, When most of them do their self study for 100 days when temperature can drop to -20 degree C. It is a test of Faith. Mind over BodyrnThis was photo was converted to B&W i think it have a greater visual impact, just imagine the Juemu studying and mediating in these boxes during the winter months at -20-30 C for 100 days
