Photographer's Note
My first new pictures of Jasper in almost seven years. My wife, son, and I did a whirlwind trip to Jasper this past weekend--less than 36 hours from the time we left our home in Calgary to the time we returned to Calgary. Most destinations 5 hours away wouldn't be worth such a short trip, but Jasper definitely is. The Icefields Parkway to get there is a worthy destination on its own.
This is the Athabasca River at 7:15 am, an hour and a half after sunrise. The mountain on the left is Mount Hardisty, the one on the right Mount Kerkeslin.

Hi Clark,
Great landscape, light management is perfect, the composition is well balanced between mountains and water, tfs.

Hello Clark, it looks SO cold!!!
The early morning light highlights the east facing faces of the mountains, which contrasts with the dark silhouettes of the land and trees in the mid-ground.A beautiful limited palette of colour.
I like the texture of the fg water.
Regards Jean.
