Photographer's Note
You can see here three different historical eras of the island of Kos in one photo.
The photo was taken from a section of the Medieval bastion of the town, where were exist the ruins of an Ancient temple, a Minaret, from the Ottoman occupation of the island (1523-1912) and the upper part of the Government house during the Italian occupation(1912-1947),between the two columns of the temple.

Hello Danos,
A good framing to present those three architectural elements with good colors and sharpness. The tree makes an important fourth element in the image and is probably the youngest one.

Hello Danos,
You're capturing well this place by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the pillars of ancient temple, the building with red roof in Ottoman influence and Government house. We can know historical continuity from this place through these three architectures.
Kind regards,

Hi Danos,
great composition, I like it. I had the pleasure to walk among these ruins a year ago looking for an interesting POV. I took a photo from a different spot with some ruins in the foreground and the minaret in the back but I did not realize that going a bit further I could also capture some of the city hall under the arch made of the ruins. Your photo is so much better, the palm tree adds another attractive element here.
Excellent work, congratulations!

Geia sou Danos
So today we have a 'special'; three for the price of one!
And how stunning are those historic monuments "growing" out of greenery as souvenirs of the past.
You managed to show beautifully the clock tower between the pillars of history and of course, the minaret constitutes a judicious visual balance to the temple's remains.
The yellow side light adds a touch of nostalgy to the abundantly-informative view.
Se xereto.

Ciao Danos
Complimenti
Ciao e buona serata

Hello Danos,
The long history of a place ensures a rich architectural heritage. Here you looked for a POV that shows us different monumental testimonies neatly in a row, with the view of the Government House seen as through a window.
The palmtree on the FG helps for a good composition and a more attractive view.

Hi Danos,
A well seen and photographed conglomerate of the three eras of Kos: Greco-Roman, Ottaman and Italian. Good sharpness and perfect sharpness and framing. I like the repetition of the verticals and the tree balances the 2 columns of the ruined temple at right. Tfs!

Hi Danos,
Brilliant combination of these different eras like this, and when I look at this I think of the amount of people who have come and gone through here, those who found a previous place and decided to put their mark on it, and as we view today, we see all those marks combined into a single collective view while the makers are nowhere to be seen. It is somewhat humbling to see history presented in this way, and its a fantastic combination of architectural elements.
Thanks as always

Hi Danos,
Even from the smaller thumbnail image, it's easy to see how much of a conscious and smart composition this was for you. Every element and subject is properly and well placed within the frame. A great concept to go along with the visual, showing the three different eras of architecture and history, all combined splendidly into one singular image. Sharp focus, solid textures and pleasing light control as always. Very nicely achieved once again! Hope you're having a pleasant weekend. Take care.
