Photographer's Note
My last post was the ride at the fair during Blue Hour, now I wanted to show it during the Black Hour.
This is not the same ride as before, but its very very similar. It has the same tall vertical height, and the same swinging seats at the top that swirl you around and around quickly - the only difference is that in this ride the seats are packed together, in the last post the seats were individual and singular. Basically the exact same ride.
This photo was taken maybe 20 min after the Blue Hour version, what a difference it makes!
I will also post a couple more versions in the WS. One more from this ride, one more from the previous Blue Hour ride.
Cheers

Hello Criag,
A crisp and clear night time image of this nail-biting ride. I like the sense of movement to be observed in the whirling mass at the top.

HI Craig,
Another perfect management of dynamic lights. A successful experiment, well taken.
PS: for example, we don't have this kind of structures here :P (you also have an explanation on my latest post).
Cheers!

Hi Craig, I like all these good pictures of these interesting amusement rides, beautifully captured in time when blue or black are interesting and beautiful images, with good sharpness, light and color. Excellent and interesting job perfectly done, congratulations my friend. Thanks for sharing this beautiful work.

Hi Craig,
for me-10 out of 10!(even if I can give only 2 points:)
Looks even more expressive against completely black sky.Like a spaceship hovering above us and frightening us with a laser beam(haha,I know I´ve watched "Independance day" too many times:)
It´s vibrant,dynamic and abstract!
Magnificent composition!
Wish You all the best

Hello Craig,
A very difficult picture to understand without your description. On the other hand, while it's always nice to know what I'm looking at, these are such fine shapes and colors that I could just enjoy the photo anyway and leave everything to my imagination.
Really well done,
Gert

J'ai préféré la version heure bleue mais celle-ci ne manque pas non plus d'intérêt.
les deux WS sont très bons également. J'aime particulièrement le WS1 avec l'effet de mouvement.

Hi Craig,
beautiful black hour shot, very very similar to the previous one. it looks like a giant spinning top. Splendid use of long time exposure. You had to use the tripod here :).

Hi Craig
another fascinating and magically whizzy shot this. The effect is wonderful and makes it look like some strange electric lollipop. Super stuff, executed and presented in your own inimitable style. Well done!

Ciao Craig
Bravissimo.
Ciao e buona serata

Hi Craig,
Now it really looks like some sort of intergalactic space weapon getting ready to fire! I have seen this effect done before on Ferris Wheels, but never on a ride like this and the result is really fantastic. I'm really in aw of this effect, and the night sky is just as beautiful as the blue hour sky.
All the best

Hi Craig
Whilst there is a more complete circle here and the tree is emerging form the shadows I think I prefer the more vivid colours of your previous shot. Another great pic and compo though!
Take care!

Hello Craig,
very fine black hour picture with a good composition and the unsharpness shows really the speed of that machine. The funfair of Luxembourg has begun a few days ago .I will visit soon and share my shots here on TE...Very good contribution to TE. TFS.

Hi, Craig,
Glad to see your art gallery after some break.
I like both photos but this view is more interesting for me and reminds me a cigarette with the yellow filter ;)
I wonder by this fact that between the photos just 20 minutes.
Best wishes from Ural! The Autumn is coming, I feel the winter breath. How are you?

Hello Craig,
Fabulous effect with the big-wheel vertically raising the riders while spinning. Light management and dark management (no "grains"), oblique approach and the relatively prolonged shutter, - all work well to this scene.
You will enjoy Portugal, a heaven for photographers - my special advice : do not miss the ancient library in Coimbra university, next to the entrance to the Law-School, you will see some books I bet you had never seen. Photography not allowed inside, but worth a visit. Beach town of Nazare also interesting, go up the Sitio, here is the sight from there.
Bon-voyage,
Ike
