bella inquadratura su questa splendida chiesa, giorni fa, Silvio, ci aveva proposto questa chiesa da un pov completamente diverso, ma in qualsiasi modo viene fotografata, rimane sempre un bellissimo soggetto.
Bello il gioco di scale che sembra continuare sulle pareti della chiesa grazie alla differenza dei colori dei marmi.

Hello Ike,
magnificent example of the beauty of Ligurian architecture.Portovenere is no exception.Nicely composed and framed scene.What attracts my attention is this so beautifully contrasting intertwine of grey stones and green grass-really captivating juxtaposition.But also the sky is phenomenal and gives so lovely contrast to the rest of composition.

Very interesting Ike, you've put together some really neat elements. The horizontal lines are the first thing that stand out, particularly the striped facade of the church. Then there's the different layers/levels associated with the lines, all blended together with the stone foreground, natural rock landscape and the shape of the church itself. I find this rather fascinating, and quite simply fun to look at...solid composition and exposure to match. Well done! Have a great day.

I wish you all the best for Passover, sorry my wishes are late, but I have been away on a little holiday..not very long but very relaxing.

I am so pleased that you still have some Italian photos to show us. I would never have guessed that this was Portovenere, the architecture looks like it is straight out of Umbria. Beautiful soft colours and I like the graphic effect that the pavement in the foreground makes. You were able to capture some spectacular details of this marvellous place.

this picture is splendid. It has a wonderful composition that fits in the frame and befits the theme effectively, I love the sense of depth and how the curving stairway on the right contrasts the rigid geometry of the architecture. La prise de vue est excellente et la photo est parfaitement composée. Cette vieille église au clocher carré semble bien conservée pour le temps et tu nous la montres bien dans un bel éclairage. Elle est bien mise en valeurs devant un beau ciel bleu.
Les WS sont très intéressants aussi.

Slowly catching up on my critics - I always keep a record so I do not miss anyone!
I have been to Italy on a business trip & managed to visit Florence & Verona - the day I had to leave was spent visiting Venice & I almost missed my flight back to Australia... such fun!!!
I love this image - what a picturesque location for this Church situated in a Romantic & welcoming setting - beckoning the sailors back to shore & the locals who pray for them.
I do wish to visit Italy again & I have already made a few notes about this Peninsular.

I`m going to Italy later this year, and this photo works well as a taste of what this beautiful country can offer. Lovely composition where you use the staircase on the right as a lead towards the church. The spots of green and the blue sky provides a good colour contrast to the scene. Lovely work! TFS. Hello Ike,

The stairs guiding the eyes of the viewer to
the Church and this creates a nice depth. The
vertical position emphasize that extra.
