Photographer's Note

This window is a brilliant example of windows in Iranian architecture. The window is wide enough to bring light in. But the glasses are colored to break the intensity of summer light in the central part of Iran. Moreover a canvas curtain is also dropped to over the window whenever the light is too strong and heat is high. It seems the Iranians living in the hot central part of Iran have thought on how to live comfortably. Look at the windows of the basement under the room. Those windows are tiles with holes in to bring air and light but to break the intensity of light and heat.
