Photographer's Note

The Roman Bridge of Cangas de Onis is a beautiful building located on the River Sella in the ancient capital of Asturias, Cangas de Onis and separating the council of Cangas de Onis and Parres. Although known as the Roman bridge, its construction was during the reign of Alfonso XI of Castile and Leon, with its famous arch stilted and two smaller arches are unequal. This bridge may well be a reconstruction of an earlier, though no evidence of it. This construction is known as the puentón. Is Heritage Site. From its central arch hangs a reproduction of the Victoria Cross. In its vicinity are numerous to go salmon fishing in the area bordering the River Sella.
