Hi Kari,

one more impressive capture of such a stunning airport in the caribean sea and islands.. not really a place for happy landings when the weather isn´t as nice as here shown..

Hi Kari!
I`ve landed or departed 3 times at runways like this one,ending at the shore.
Phuket/Thailand,Sao Vicente/Cape Verde and Thandwe/Ngapali beach,Myanmar.There they close a gate for pedestrians, when planes depart 2-3 times a gate.
This is a great shot,taken from an excellent POV with perfect timing and perfect sharpness.

Hello Kari,

Wicked POV! This is somewhat a pilot's challenge to get his bird on the ground. Good exposure with the patches of sun due to the clouds. The different layers and runway help bringing depth to the image.

Hello Karl, This is a very exciting scene with the airplane just above and the runway directly in the foreground. Coupled with this excellent picture we are also privileged to see a lovely panorama of the water and the village in the background, all under a beautiful cloud filled blue sky. Great. But back to the airplane and the runway, does the runway end at water's edge? I used to fly in to the old airport in Hong Kong and when landing there was the South China Sea directly ahead, I was always a bit worried with those takeoffs and landings. Later, in fact, a plane load of US Marines, during Vietnam era, ended up in the sea. Terrible. Anyway great shot and lots of splendid composition here. Regards, Roger

love the colours in the water, and the action of the plane landing.

Hi Kari,

A good capture of the spectacular approach for landing at St-Barths airport. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the runway and of the surroundings. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

A fascinating photo, both because of the inclusion of the small landing aircraft and the gorgeous landscape. An excellent POV and composition. Very beautiful colours and the emerald colour shade of the sea is a lovely detail.
