Snow and rain in Tuscany...
"Il rigo" means "the line"...this tree stands close to the farm "Il rigo" in Val d´Orcia.
About the photo: I opened up the aperture to the maximum, it causes the effect of vignetting (dark corners), esp. in the dark twilight. Usually this effect is removed by the camera or during converting the pic from RAW into JPG. In this case I left it as it is and converted it to sepia.
To avoid camera shake due to mirror movement I set the focus to manual and put the live mode on.

Once upon a time.. several hills, valleys and oceans from here there was an empty land with one tree standing in the middle..
That wasn't a tree of Good and Evil, Wisdom or even the Sin, cause.. there was no any man around to be tempted, blessed, punished..
So the tree once imagine itself as despotic king.. once as a beautiful and generous queen.. nobody could interrupt it's ambitions.. after few years realized there is no any audience for any of the most splendid roles it plays and.. started to loose it's leaves..
slowly, from the Pride of the Land the tree becomes dry remaining of it's splendor..
alone, even if the most attractive of all, felt useless.. slowly dying..
Suddenly, the handsome Prince riding a horse appear at the hill.. tall, young, talented..

Ein interessantes Prozedere, was man da so alles herausfindet :))) Ein poetisches Bild, eines das ich sofort aufhaengen wuerde ... wenn ich nur mehr Platz haette ... aber wahrscheinlich geht es den Meisten so.
