Photographer's Note

Barcelona's most famous resident is almost undoubtedly Gaudi, and his most iconic legacy to the city is the Sagrada Familia, the living basilica.

Construction started in 1882, and a guide date for completion is currently 2030 - a mammoth undertaking in today's 'live life fast' attitude.

But the scaffolding, cranes and workmen only add to the atmosphere of the structure, and its architectural madness make it the enjoyable building that it is. I came to Barcelona reticent to be won over by this artist, but the Sagrada Familia is the place that won me over.
