Photographer's Note

Although I am not very much keen on such photos, just because I want to add a photo in Trekearth concept, I got a Beyoğlu shot on Sunday.

Beyoğlu is the heart of İstanbul, it is the meeting, eating, walking, shopping, in summary point of what you look for. Especially women enjoy the cheap stores around. I recommend book stores or coffee houses, you can watch the flow of crowd drinking a cup of coffee or our traditional black tea.

We call it Beyoğlu but in Byzantine empire times it was called Pera. Later, this was the place where non-Muslim population lived. Non-Muslim population usually dealt with commerce and were wealthy. Pera was such a special place that people needed to get their smart dresses on for visiting it, not because it is a rule but it was a custom.

Beyoğlu is the smiling face of İstanbul. An absolute must to visit. In addition, night life is also colourful.
Bir de trekearth tarzı foto olsun istedim.:)
