Photographer's Note
Something that I found shocking the first time I visited the Philippines. Something you would not see in my corner of the world. :)

Hi Karen,
Vivid example of the difference in the Philippines economy and that of the west.
Very clear colors and excellent sharpness to the graphic display.

Hi Karen, Good capture of this typical developing country scene. Composition is good with the main subject to one side and the blurred green BG. Sharpness is good too, where it is needed. the flat light has worked well for you here too, avoiding any harsh shadows. Very different to your rural Canadian scenes. Cheers, Steve

Hello Karen,
What, Coca-Cola or gasoline :-) Well composed daily life shot with excellent detail and good colours. These sort of shots need good powers of observation, well done.

I wonder how Coca Cola likes the advertisment. Interesting that the sign is in English.

Hi Karen
la différence économique entre nos pays se reflète dans ce cliché, ce n'est pas dans les pays de l'Amérique que l'on verrait un tel étalage, belle présentation.

My dear friend Karen, I hope that you are confused, and you drank gasoline ... ja ja ja ;)
A simple but striking composition.
And in these times of crisis, where everything is measured by the value of oil, I believe that in the corner of the world where you are, any benefits from it.
Good frame, great definition. Hugs, John

Hello Karen,
A very typical view from the not so rich countries. You have captured a bright and interesting scene and told us something about the world in the TE spirit. I like the balance between red and green.

Hello Karen,
Indeed, different strokes for different folks. One would not see this sight in North America. Well composed, bucolic, and exotic. Warm regards, and have a good Sunday,

Hi Karen
Dangerous habit indeed.
I saw exactly the same way of selling fuel in Africa.

Hi karen!
This is surely a great detail! It may be dangerous, but very original and different. Surely something we don't find here but it's a prove of imagination and an easy solution:)! I like it!

Very interesting shot! But who wants to buy one bottle of gasoline?:) And what was the price?:) Nice idea to upload something like this - for sure, in Poland we also don't have something like this:)

HI Karen,
I see nothing shocking, personally I find good they replaced the coca cola by something else that can't taste any worse... Nice detail, I wonder how far they can drive with such a bottle, I guess it is used in scooters.
Have a nice day JY

Karen,
This is a real political statement I think. When comparing the view in your shot "Paradise" and this one ther seems to be a huge gap between them. Having been there I know there is but your shots illustrate this well.
