Photographer's Note
In the region of the Castagniccia is a rich religious heritage. The day spent visiting a few villages with a friend Chinchini we met the eyes of wonder.
Crocicchia commune, commune of Haute-Corse in the canton of Alto-di-Casaconi to 650 m on the upper eastern slopes of the Castagniccia has a remarkable religious site in the village of San Andrea.
The parish church of the same name dates from the middle of the Middle Ages.
In 1646, in his pastoral visit report, Bishop Marliani, bishop of the Diocese of Acci and Mariana, describes the building with only one altar, and being devoid of Eucharistic reservation and font. It was redesigned during the second half of the 17th. Expanded during the second half of the 18th century, it will be again the subject of a major work in 1855, as is indicated in the inscription placed on the building.
It is an elongated building plan, consisting of a nave with side chapels and ship, and a choir vault cradle to glasses. A few meters, the presence of a bell tower that I present.
This church is not protected by the Monuments Historiques, and we may regret. The protection of this tower would be remarkable to consider.

Bonjour Ma P'tite Soeur,
Quelle superbe tour-clocher !
Quelle superbe temps, quelle superbe journée, quelle superbe balade ! J'en redemande.

Hey,
Nice picture of the bell-tower. I like the blue sky making the contrast with the bricks.
Is there a special reason that the tower is not connected with the church? I thought that was more common, also in France?

Bonsoir Marie
