Photographer's Note

A tourist boat is returning to Paramaribo by passing Leonsberg pier. Different light conditions are creates unexpected colors on the surface of muddy Suriname River.

The Government of Suriname is supporting tourism investments now and few new hotel constructions are already started.

Colorful boat in such warm light in this capture. I like the weak reflection on the water. The gloomy sky gives a nice contrast tot he lighted view on the water and trees behind.

I am a bit surprised for not finding here that amazing depth ans sense of vastness so characteristic of your photos of this place. I don't mean that I am disappointed, that's impossible before this marvel. Beautiful strange light, pleasant tranquil sense of movement, wonderful colours, which produce a fabulous fuzzy pattern on the water.

This is a scene that leaves appreciate a valuable composition.

After the sharpness offered by the outlet, appreciating some very interesting elements: the contrast of clouds in the sky, between the threatening rain and established in the lower level; reflections in the water, the design of which is the wave boat, the horizon and well balanced.

Olá Ertugrul, I missed your river :) Wonderful bright reflections under the colorful boat. It's not that colorful, but it makes a nice contrast with the grey scenery. Beautiful ondulating effect from the water motion.

I like much the clearness of this photograph and the smoothness of the reflection in water. The light is very beautiful and gives much glare to the colors. Good contrast with the gray sky. Pretty catch of sight and a crossing on this river which must be quite pleasant.

nice to know government of Suriname is investing in tourism. We almost don't hear about that country and I think you have a lot to show to the tourists...I like this view of the colorful boat on the calm water and the green line that divides the water from the cloudy sky. The colorful tourist boat is seen making a striking reflection in the silver waters of the river mouth. The muddy surf makes a nice contrast to the blue of the boat and the stormy sky.

Hello, Ertugul.

I like the very clear atmosphere which characterises this picture, despite the cloudy weather. The reflections on the water surface are beautiful. The crop is nice even if it might have been better to allow more room at the front of the boat. The depth is perfectly set-up and gives a very nice relief to the picture.

Very colorful and in good sharpness and lighting of this tourist boat. The light is wonderful even by looking at the cloudy sky.

Just IMHO, I would like the crop to be tighter at the back and leave more room for the boat to move ahead in front. A very well managed shot and thanks for sharing this image of Suriname.

This river scape is a real masterpiece of color enhancement due to proper stress on the detail. Of course the presentation of richly clouded BG in perfect exposure is another strong element of the composition.
