Photographer's Note

I debated whether I should really put this set of photos on but in the end asked myself why did I take the photo. A life lost in the Hauyhyaush climbing Yerapaju. A record of the passing of one young mans life in the pursuit of a love of freedom and personnal exploration. No different from myself, though I seemed to have had a rather charmed life. This is the other side that most people do not see, it did disturb me at the time and did have an effect on my quest for freedom in the mountains but in the end you go back to the adventure because it makes you feel more alive and most mountaineers accept the possibility of death. Unfortunately some pay the price for adventure through no fault of their own, it just seems to be the luck of the draw.
I have posted this mostly because the photo reminds me of the young man and at that he is remembered and not forgotten.
Feel free just to comment rather than critic as I may prefer that.
