i cimiteri mi affascinano, mi piace vedere la loro disposizione e le differenze che ci sono tra un paese e un altro.
Questo è molto particolare, ma ci sono delle similitudini con alcuni cimiteri delle mie campagne.
Ottimo lavoro, una bella serie di foto che parlano di cose comuni, ma di cui non ci si occupa quasi mai.

Again, the wide angle makes the walls look as if they are caving in. But, that suits the subject perfectly in my mind. Wonderful long depth and exceptional detail. Glad that you managed to find your way out:-)

Hello Craig,

The perspective and geometry is quite interesting and this is densification pushed to the limit as they do in many cities today for the living. In fact, some cheap condominium complexes are built in the same manner, so the deads will feel like home when they have to move into this cemetary.

Yes, not a cemetery as we usually see them ! They optimize space :) Good POV. The perspective lines make us understand how big the cemetery wall is.

Hi Craig,
Glasnevin cemetery (my graveyard of choice locally) has similar walls for the ashes of those cremated, but they are standalone walls scattered throughout the site, they don't form together to make a maze like this place. It is a fascinating place, and one I would love to see in person (keeping in mind your first note about getting here safely of course). The tree in the middle is cool too, while I can see its a sapling, it looks like a full grown one, making the grave walls seem even more huge and imposing. Is it morbid to say I love this place? :)

grazie alla tua abilità nell'uso del grandangolo ed al senso innato della composizione sei riuscito a rendere suggestivo, oltre che ottimo soggetto fotografico anche un cimitero.
Una immagine ricca di suggestione che nello stesso tempo aiuta a meditare.

Hi Craig,

Wow, that wide angle does wonders for this perspective...feels like it would take forever to reach that back wall! What a fascinating cemetery, and these shots you've provided I'm sure will spark interest for others whenever they may travel to these locations. Speaking of, I'm loving that second WS pic, that one might actually be my favorite out of these three....all of which would be deserving of their own posting!

You and Noel really need to team up some time, I bet you'd both have a field day roaming the grounds. I have to admit, there's something about them that has an oddly fascinating enchantment. Hope you have more from here, this has been a treat to follow! Have a good evening.

i'm considering buying the 8 mm more and more :-)

Good symmetry and lovely, converging lines. The cemetery Looks huge and the wide angle makes it look even bigger. A good Thing was to include the small tree in the middle, it kind of sustains the whole Image.

Hello Craig

Well you know - to my eye this doesn't look like a cemetery. It reminds me of the council estate hi-rises where people live in some parts of the UK. Le Corbusier's "machines for living" where people are in some ways spiritually dead- talk about sick building syndrome!

Anyway - great perspective and as for the lines and corners - who cares! The shot works.
