Photographer's Note

Quito is the second highest capital city in the world after La Paz, Bolivia. It is situated at the hub of what is called the "Avenue of Volcanoes". One of the hills, called Panecillo (little bread basket) offers this fabulous view over the entire city and its surroundings. Early in the morning is the best time to see it, when the mist rolls through the valleys pierced by the rising sun. Pure magic!
