Photographer's Note
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my fellow TrekEarth members.
This has been a very busy year so I have not been active in TE. I hope 2011 will allow me to participate as much as I wish.
This photo was taken during the new year of 2009 at Dichato beach. That beach was struck by an 8.8M Earthquake in February 2010, and then by a tsunami that destroyed completely the small town.
I guess there were no fireworks this year over there. My respects and thoughts with the victims and wishes for a quick recovery of Dichato.
Cheers to all

Hi Jorge,
First, My best wishes for you in the New Year. May it be healthy, happy and prosperous. Fantastic fireworks, so clear, sharp, look marvelous on the dark sky.
It is awful that so many places are struck y natural forces that are impossible to foresee. It is specially painful when you hear about the places you know. There are such places that I know - Sichuan in China, Pisco in Peru, places in Thailand .
Cheers
Malgo
