Photographer's Note
When flying from Santiago, Chile, to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (via Sao Paulo), I was fortunate enough to get a window seat. After a steep climb out of the airport, it almost seemed that we barely cleared the mountains! The view, with night closing in, was breath-taking!
This picture was cropped from the original to remove most of the bottom of the window frame. I also increased the contrast to counter some over-exposure and atmospheric haze, reduced the saturation to bring the colours back as close as possible to the original, and 'despeckled' in an attempt to eliminate the visible 'image noise'.

Hi Tony!
The Andes in that part of Chile are very impressive and mighty and you were lucky to see them from the plane! It's a good picture, although I miss a bit more of sharpness, brightness and colors! Not easy to get top quality images from the window of an airplane, right?!
TFS - congratulations!
Kind regards,
Neyvan
