Photographer's Note

Rio de Janeiro...trip to Corcovado to see the wonderful panorama of the town and to have a close view of the Cristo Redentor statue. To reach the peak of the hill, you just climb the hill through the Tijuca forest, a national park that is a real wild tropical forest nearby the town. The trip is made by electrically powered trains, and takes approximately 20 minutes.
From the train terminus and road, the observation deck at the foot of the statue is reached by 223 steps, or by elevators and escalators.
Unfortunately (or maybe luckily??!!) on the day of our trip, the most we climbed the gretest was the fog(or the lowest were the clouds)...actually it was so dense that we could not even see each other once on the top!
The passage through the forest in the fog gave to the trip a very strange atmosphere and unusual colours and view. Everything, outside the little train, was silent and humid, but still amazing! On the top, we could not see the panorama and the statue, but we had an alternative touch of tropical environment!
Hope the shot gives the idea of this moment.

Ciao
