Photographer's Note
Let me introduce you to the beautiful city of Ouro Preto (or black gold). This place was a very important area for mining especially gold (18th century). Now mines are empty but Ouro Preto is still alive with its precious and semi-precious stones. It is located near Rio(7 hours by bus).

Wonderfully sharp and natural colored photo Laurent. I like your composition with the city centered on a small hill, surrounded by all these mountains, and the diagonal line of houses leading from the center to the left corner. Very well done.

The lighting is well managed and the colours are vibrant.

The sparse light creates a very special atmosphere here, as it leads the view to the church on the hill. The red and brown shades match very well. Beautiful shot!
