Photographer's Note
O Conjunto Arquitetônico do Santuário do Caraça é composto pela igreja Nossa Senhora Mãe dos Homens; pelo prédio do antigo colégio e seminário, onde hoje funcionam o museu e a biblioteca; pelo claustro, espaço de relaxamento para os alunos do antigo colégio; pelas catacumbas, onde estão enterrados os corpos de padres e ex-estudantes do Caraça; e pela pousada. São os locais, onde acontecem os roteiros religioso e histórico/cultural dentro do Complexo.
A Igreja Nossa Senhora Mãe dos Homens é a primeira igreja neogótica do Brasil. Foi construída entre 1876 e 1883, no local onde antes existia a Ermida do Irmão Lourenço. Toda desenhada, projetada e edificada por um Padre da Missão, na Serra do Caraça, foi erguida sem mão-de-obra escrava e toda com material regional, como pedra sabão retirada de perto da Cascatona ou mármore, originário das proximidades de Mariana e Itabirito.
Dentro da igreja está exposto o corpo de São Pio Mártir (o primeiro corpo de santo trazido para o Brasil), transladado de Roma para o Caraça no ano de 1792.

Hello Lucas,
The Neo-Gothic church and the lower buildings of the sanctuary are all elegantly designed, and you show them from a good angle with the park and the fountain in the foreground. The palm trees on both sides of the staircase are nicely seen against the sky, and there is an invisible diagonal between them and the large bush on the left side of the photo. That diagonal is countered by the one created by the red roofs. All these features give a nice structure to the photo, which is not just well composed but also excellently exposed in the strong light.

Oi Lucas,
Linda imagem deste interessante lugar. Você escolheu um excelente ponto de vista para que possamos apreciar muitos detalhes desta beleza de fachada. Sei que ela é enorme mas aqui podemos apreciar a beleza da arquitetura com as janelas azuis e a igreja ao fundo coroada por magnífico céu azul. Belo jardim com esta fonte, hein?! Só faltou o famoso lobo Guará mas aí já é querer demais (haha..). Se Deus quiser espero conhece este lugar. Talvez me hospede aí mesmo como você sugeriu.

I like very much the charming garden in the foreground with lovely decorative fountain . You have perfectly used it to decorate the composition. Also the palm trees add a nice touch.

Despues de un largo periodo que necesitaba como descanso y para dedicarme a mi nuevo cambio de residencia, de Madrid me he trasladado a vivir a una ciudad mas pequeña a 30 km. Alcala de Henares, una bonita ciudad con mucha historia y muy agradable y tranquila.
Maravillosa perspectiva que desde los preciosos jardines, nos lleva hacia la magnífica iglesia, con su alta y hermosa torre, bonito el contraste que añaden esas palmeras que se destacan sobre el cielo.
Muy eficaz colorido, que destaca los detalles de la imagen.
Una buena gestion, tanto de la luminosidad, como de la nitidez.
Muy bien hecho. Me gusta.
