Another addition to Fall 04 hunt : "a symbol representing your country."
This boy lives in Santa Catarina island, and like other fishermen children, sells shells to tourists to help his family.
The green & yellow shirt of brazillian soccer uniform is certainly a symbol of my country that can be reconigzed everywhere. A sad fact is that hopelesness and misery of children also reprents my country.
I´ve decided do make a mask with pen tool around the boy and turn background to BW with channel mixer to emphasize the item´s goal. The original color of sand and shells were a little distracting. No more post processing features were added, besides framing.

Nice image of this little boy . I like the colors of Brazil represented.The composition on the image is very nice peering into his world.

Where did see some more shells ?
Strong compo with this young boy on top totally concentrated on his merchandise and lucky you that he had that nice colored yellow/green T-shirt that you used to put all focus on the boy towards a reduced beckground. You handeld this very well !

Apenas o rapaz está colorido! O pormenor é bastante bom, gostei! Destaca bem o simbolo, ou um dos simbolos do seu país.
O resultado final é optimo. Pelo seu relato, a vida deste rapaz não é fácil... faz-nos pensar!

Very good choice of post-processing and thigh composition. The eye is drawn first to the very bright colors of the shirt, then diagonally down the boy's arms to the shells. In just one eye sweep, you have the whole story. Very effective, and how appropriate for that scavenger hunt!
