Photographer's Note
This little fellow was slowly crossing the road when I was on my way home, coming from a beautyfull State Park called Itapuã, located at Viamão, a city nearby Porto Alegre, southern Brazil. My interest wasn't only to take the shot, but to help him (or her?) to get out of the road. So I did it. Took him out of there and took a shot. Did you think it like me?

Great capture and funny too. Only thing Im a little sad about is the reflections in the shell - have you tried to remove/reduce - but I do like it very much.

This is an amusing photo! Love the expression on his/her/its face. The shallow Depth of Field works well too. The only problem I guess is the reflection off the shell - maybe you should've used a polariser? But that's not very important - still a nice shot.

A good photo, well focussed, etc., but I think a good crop would make this a lot more interesting. Right now the center framing is extreme and doesn't seem to fit the image. Cutting the top down to a little above the top V of the shell would eliminate the hot spot, and bringing the bottom edge of the frame up would lose what is just unimportant sand while turning the photo into an almost panoramic view of the subject alone. I would bring in the sides a little too. Closer is usually better for me, not sure what you'll think. Well done regardless, helping it and all.

Funny picture of a turtle whom seem to just having decided to be cooperative and letting you take the shot. :). Ther is good focus on the most important part, they eyes. Tha patterns in his/hers face is intresting and not something you see every day.
I made a WS were i tried to retain some of the details in the shell.

Lucky for you it did not wet you, the smell is unbearable - we once "rescuded" one and he messed in the car - we nearly died. This looks like a real mean customers, one who might take your finger off. There are some "snapper turtles" in America - not to sure I have the name right, in the swamps, and this critter reminds me of them. A beady eye and a ready snoot. Great shot.

Haha, great shot Mathias, you should add humor to the categories cause my first reaction was a laugh.
(s)he is a more colorful creature than I thought a tortoise would be. At least the ones I have seen have mostly been dark green/grey/brown/black. This one is beautifully yellow also. The facial texture is particularly nice. Clarity is excellent, the glare on the shell is a pity as the pattern there is kind of lost, otherwise this is an excellent picture!
Likes you? I am guessing (s)he would bite your fingers off the first chance (s)he got. These beasties are notoriously ungrateful!
