City's Park is huge and filled with some small lakes and big lawns. I wanted to see many fabulous sculptures and monuments, but it was a deception in this aspect.
India and Brazil are very far but we have many links with India, Brazil was discovered and registered as a new land when Portuguese was going to a long trip to India, we have lots of important plants and animals that came from India and are almost native for us, and one of our most important native plants is very important there too.
Gandhi is famous around the globe and in Brazil you can find statues of him in any big town. In Salvador da Bahia city there is a famous local group of musicians who are named "sons of Gandhi" and act in the carnival. See in the link bellow them in action, in fact they have deep African heritage and the name came only because the white turbans they used and because Gandhi was famous when the group was created.
In this image we can see the little boy interacting with the statue, he was so concentrated in the placard, talking with himself, that he didn't noticed me at his side. I like the image because looks like Gandhi is observing him alive. Check the video.

O Parque da Cidade é enorme, cheio de pequenos lagos e gramados. Pensei que iria encontrar belas esculturas e monumentos lá dentro, mas nesse quesito ele foi decepcionante.
Gandhi é famoso no mundo todo e no Brasil podemos ver estátuas dele em qualquer cidade grande. Achei bacana essa estátua dele. O menino estava tão concentrado em seus próprios pensamentos que nem notou a minha presença. Gosto da foto pois há uma interação entre o olhar de Gandhi e a ação do menino.
