Laguna Verde, a photo from Potosi, South

Photographer's Note

This is my favorit picture-composition from the Uyuni trip I just finished.

Here some information by Wikipedia:

The Green Lagoon is a salt lake in the southwest of the altiplano of Bolivia, on the Chilean border at the foot of the volcano Licancabur. Its colour is caused by sediments, containing copper minerals. It is elevated some 4,300m (14,000 ft) above sea level.

PS: I had to stitch the pictures together to get the whole view of the lake. I took the pictures just by feeling as my camera display was broken and I could not see exactly what the pictures looked like I was taking. I hope you like it.

Cet endroit est réellement magique. Heureusement pour toi il y avait peu de vent. Suffisamment pour que le Licancabur et le Juriques se reflettent difficilement dans la lagune et insufisamment pour la lagune prenne sa teinte turquoise. Compte tenu de la casse de l'écran, tu as un bol fou de pouvoir assembler les photos. J'aime vraiment cet endroit.

Hi Christian,
good job, I like it a lot...even the photographer on the right side that someone can say that it is disturbing the scene but gives the proportion of the panorama. Youe eye is better then the display of the ixus ;)

This place is really gorgeous, surely one of the best candidate for pictures... with already some shots presented on TE (as you can see clicking on Laguna Verde above the title), despite the relatevely small amount of tourist visiting it...

Super photo!. Une netteté parfaite avec une très belle profondeur de champ. Par contre, je ne suis pas sur que la personne à droite apporte vraiment qq chose à cette photo.
Dommage de ne pas poster de version large!.

No wonder it is your favorite - it is an excellent capture!
This place is amazing and you captured it perfectly.
I would love to see a bigger version of that - you can actually post bigger panoramic images on TE.

Superbe image,cet endroit paraît un peu surnaturel.La jonction des images est parfaite.Les couleurs et les reflets dans l'eau sont très beaux.La présence de ce personnage sur la droite apporte un plus à la photo et nous permet d'avoir une idée sur la dimension de ce lac.
L'exposition et le cadrage sont bien géré.

Hi Christian,

Well, the result is fine. Lovely sky, seems as if polarized, but I know it isn't since I have the same camera ;) It's great to see that photographer on the uttermost edge of the frame. He gives well the proportions of the landscape. Lovely colours and fine panorama..good stitch result. You can upload a bigger version of the photo if you like!
Then goto, My Account, Manage, search for this photo and click Large Post, then you can upload a version bigger than 800px, max file size 400kb. Good luck.

The stitching work is great, and the colors in this one are beautiful.
