Photographer's Note

The Laguna Verde in the bolivian South Lipez, a great place near the volcan Licancabur just before Chili.
This beautiful color can be seen when the wind and the light of the sun are here. In fact, when the wind rises, often at about 11h AM, the sediments are raised and water becomes opalescent. With the sun under an adequate angle, you can see the magical emerald color of the Laguna Verde.

Note about the place :

Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon) is a lake in the southwest of the altiplano of Bolivia, in the Department of Potosí, Province of Sud Lípez, on the Chilean border at the foot of the volcano Licancabur (5920m). Its colour is caused by sediments, containing copper minerals like magnesium, sodium, calcium or arsenic. It is elevated some 4,300 m (14,000 ft) above sea level.

The laguna verde is well known for its spectacular scenery espacially days with wind and sun.
