Photographer's Note

In the arid Paramillo region (Mendoza), you can find one of the oldest mines in Argentina. There are also some ancient ruins of jesuit buildings, about 400 years old.

From a little lookout in the small canyons you can see at the distance the Aconcagua, which is the tallest mountain in America and is 90 kilometers away. This particular face of the mountain is the easiest, since it doesn't require ice climbing skills and you can trek to the first bases.
